What were you doing before you joined Acre?
Before joining Acre, I was involved in the property industry since the age of 16. My journey into this field began by working on weekends and whenever I had spare time, eventually leading me to take it up full time. I've had all kinds of experience within the property industry, ranging from administrative tasks to sales and lettings. Despite the demanding nature of the work, I developed a genuine passion for it. Surprisingly, there are some exceptional estate agents in the industry, and I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. While the job often required long hours, the satisfaction of successfully closing deals and ensuring client satisfaction made it all worthwhile.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
My favourite part of my job is undoubtedly interacting with our users. As an ex-estate agent, I LOVE to talk. I find great joy in engaging with our diverse user base, listening to their needs, and striving to provide the best assistance possible. Witnessing the evolution of our CRM platform is particularly exciting for me. When I joined two years ago, I had no prior experience in FinTech and only a basic understanding of mortgages. However, through continuous interaction and learning from our users, I've witnessed the CRM evolve every day to better meet their needs. It's truly gratifying to be a part of this dynamic process.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Each day brings new and exciting challenges, which keeps my role engaging. Primarily, I spend my time communicating with our fantastic users, addressing their queries, and gathering feedback to continuously improve our services. Additionally, I contribute to the creation of training plans and user-oriented content, ensuring our users have the resources they need to maximise their experience with our platform. This variety in tasks ensures that no two days are alike, making my role both fulfilling and stimulating.
What’s your favourite thing about working at Acre?
My favourite thing about working at Acre is the people I have the opportunity to work alongside. Being a part of this team has introduced me to individuals whom I might not have crossed paths with otherwise. I've had the pleasure of forming friendships with incredibly talented and diverse individuals. The collaborative and supportive environment fostered by my colleagues truly makes working at Acre a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
What do you do outside of work?
Outside of work, I indulge in various hobbies and interests. I'm a HUGE football enthusiast, passionate about not only following the Premier League and the Champions League but also keeping up with the Turkish league. Additionally, I have a keen interest in snooker, a sport that some may find boring, but I find incredibly exciting. I also enjoy immersing myself in a good book, and I must admit, I have a bit of a weakness for drinking a lot of tea.
