Why BrokerSync chose Acre

About BrokerSync
BrokerSync is one of the UK's fastest-growing mortgage and protection networks, and one of its most unusual. Launched to market at the end of January 2026, the network is run by its members: its broker board is made up of principal owners rather than internal staff, and network decisions are put to a board vote.
Their growth has been striking. In it’s first months to market, and achieved entirely organically, with no marketing campaigns behind it, BrokerSync has grown to 21 Appointed Representatives, processed nearly 800 mortgage cases, and written more than £177 million in lending volume.
We spoke to Simon Walton at BrokerSync about why the network chose Acre as its platform from day one, and how it has supported extraordinary early growth.
“The growth has been phenomenal, and it's been entirely reputation-led. We haven't run a single marketing campaigns as Brokers have been approaching us. Having the right platform and understanding its' capability and functionality has been a game changer for our joiners."
Built on Acre from day one
BrokerSync originally set out to build a directly authorised firm. Strong inbound interest from brokers prompted a pivot to a full network model, and at one point a dozen ARs joined simultaneously. Acre has been in place throughout, there was no legacy CRM to migrate away from, and the platform has never been a sticking point when onboarding new firms.
“Acre has been there since day one. It's never once been a point of contention when we're bringing a prospect on. If anything, it's the opposite, it's reputable, people know it, and it's user-friendly, so it helps us rather than something we have to explain away."
The three things that mattered most
When selecting a CRM, BrokerSync had key priorities: data management and workflow from initial enquiry through to completion; integrated systems spanning sourcing, protection, ID checks, credit reporting and the client portal; and speed to market. Acre delivered on all three, with its quick-source tool singled out as a standout.
"Quick source was a game changer. It's taken case processing from hours down to minutes. That knock on effect becomes the lifeblood running through the Network and dictates behaviours across the AR population"
The team also praised Acre's drag-and-drop document upload, client portal, document signing and renewals workflow, and has been consolidating third-party tools into the single platform over time.
A platform ARs actually want
For a network that grows on reputation, the technology it puts in front of brokers has to earn its own reputation too. BrokerSync has found Acre does exactly that, prospects and new ARs consistently see it as a credible, user-friendly choice.
“We had an AR come across from another network who described Acre as light years ahead of what they'd been using. Adding to that, a brand-new broker researched Acre on our website before even speaking to us and told us it was one of the reasons they were interested."
Freedom without losing control
A key differentiator for BrokerSync was the absence of the network-imposed restrictions they'd seen elsewhere. Acre's configurability lets the network extend full autonomy to ARs where appropriate, or lock down individual elements, without penalising the wider group.
“With Acre we can give AR autonomy, or we can tighten up one specific element, without it affecting everyone else. That flexibility matters enormously when your whole model is about trusting your advisers."
Collaborative and reactive
BrokerSync has also valued Acre's responsiveness, noting that requested changes are acted on quickly rather than parked indefinitely.
“When we've asked for something, it gets done, it's implemented and it's on the roadmap, not left sitting there. That collaborative, reactive relationship is exactly what you want from a technology partner when you're scaling fast."
